Which species is the smartest? Obviously, the top three candidates are dogs, humans, or elephants, but which one is the smartest? Dogs control their owners, humans have higher IQ and build amazing technology, and elephants have one of the best memories (maybe the best) of any animal on earth and have the biggest brains. But who is the smartest?
Number three is humans because they pollute the environment and are controlled by dogs. That leaves dogs and elephants.
Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs but they just don’t have a large enough attention span and enough memory to compete with elephants.
Elephants have incredible memory. They can remember much more than humans. Ever heard the saying “an elephant never forgets” well, that is pretty much true.
That leaves one question: if elephants are so smart why aren’t they in control? The answer to that question comes down to two reasons: brains, size, and opposable thumbs.
Let’s face it, if you were super smart you would also be peaceful, but with passive-aggressive fighting. Elephants probably could’ve taken over the world, but why haven’t they?
One possible solution is that they were smart enough to realize something that we didn’t, maybe they saw the future, maybe, just maybe…
Another possibility is that elephants weren’t smart enough or capable enough. Maybe their brains don’t think that way, maybe they don’t have delicate enough limbs to build the machines necessary. Just maybe…
In conclusion, the top three candidates for the smartest animal are humans (number 3), dogs (number 2), and elephants (number 1) all ranking for different reasons.
