Robin Hood was both the hero and king of Sherwood Forest and a thief. Robin Hood was a thief because he stole from the wealthy (I guess you could call him a “charitable thief”) but is a hero in that he saved people from hangings, rebelled against Prince John, and gave money to the poor.
