What is teleportation, and why is it useful?
Teleportation is moving an object from point A to point B instantly without crossing the space in-between. Teleportation is useful for moving objects over long distances, very quickly.
How is teleportation possible?
Teleportation is possible through something called “quantum teleportation”. Quantum teleportation begins with something called “quantum entanglement”. It could be turned into a super-fast way of sharing information. On the next slide I will explain quantum teleportation.
Introduction to quantum teleportation
Imagine that you have two “magic” coins. These two coins are entangled. Because they are entangled, whatever happens to one coin, happens to another, no matter how far apart. If the coins were spinning, and you stopped the first coin from spinning, the second coin would stop spinning instantly. Crazy, right?
My teleporter
If I were to build a teleporter it would be made like this. I would use quantum teleportation to transfer information in ones and zeros. A one would be spinning and a zero would be not spinning. With this, I would transfer the information and the other end of the line would receive it. Then, the other end would decipher the message, containing the information on where the atoms are. Then, the other end would remake the object. That is my teleporter.
Summary
Teleportation is possible but has ethical concerns.
Teleportation is 99.99% possible through quantum teleportation.
Quantum teleportation can also make a super-fast communication system.
Quantum teleportation is REALLY confusing.
