Does everyone here know about graphene? For reference, it’s one of the strongest materials in the world. It is the strongest material by tensile strength, and is 200 times stronger than steel. It is also a superconductor at 1.2 Kelvin and the most conductive material in the world. What else? It’s also flexible and transparent. What could possibly outshine this amazing material?
Well, meet borophene. It’s stronger, more flexible, also superconducts, and it’s lighter than graphene (boron is lighter than carbon). Oh, also, it’s harder than diamond.
Borophene is basically vibranium (marvel supermaterial, but soon I’ll post about the real vibranium, and yes, it does absorb kinetic energy). It can basically be used for anything. But, it is vulnerable to oxidation.
